A few fun facts, Zaho Ji said that she wont dance for Lu Buwei play again, this is a fun fact from the past, when Lu Buwei befriend Ying Zheng father Ying Yiren, he invited Zhao Ji who was at the time his concubine to perform a dance for them, Ying Yiren fall in love with her and ask her as a wife for him, Lu Buwei was shocked for the request but don't wanted to sacrifice all his success so far for a woman so he give her to him, this is why she see herself betrayed and played by him.
About the Rong Di, those where not a state but a colective of people but Wiki say it was one state with that name also as Xirong, but most of the time they are described as some barbarians same as the mountain folk of Yotanwa who Qin conquered, Rong Di would mean Barbarians and warlike people if I remember well, they say some live in caves, wear fur and eat uncooked meat.

What I like this episode is the crowning scene when all the previous dukes and kings of Qin appears, it hit a sweet string when you read about the Ying family exploits from Po Yi who earn the name Ying, from the Ying carioters who earn Zhou kings favor to receive Qin as a feud, to Duke Warrior who bring order in Qin, to Duke Mu who bring prestige to Qin, to King Zhao who put the foundation of the unified China...

Wtf XD funny, well Lao Ai in history was more cool than here, actually he was described to be more handsome like a playboy, not just a ugly dude with huge dong tough the part with huge assets is true to history, they say he could spin a carriage wheel on his ding dong. He also was not as stupid like here, he was just greedy and arrogant. The state of Ai never existed as far as I know, the palace revolt took place directly in Xianyang without an army of such numbers being involved. It was a palace coup in which the courtiers and military officers chose sides and kill each others for a day. In Chinese variants of this story Zhao Ji is painted to be clueless of her lovers plans unlike here. History book don't say Zhao Ji hated Zheng like here, it was the other way around, Shi Ji said that Zheng hated his mother and maybe because of her he hated womans and never chose an emperes, he had many concubines but not an official wife if I remember well in Shi Ji, Zheng exclamed that womans are trouble, but in one passage he rise a temple to a loyal woman who never remaried after her husband death, I read it a long time ago and my memory is not so clear as then so I might slip some things, Chinese drama portray him that he love a womans with all his heart but he cant have her as it it was an one side love or she dies, but historians believe he wanted no one to be his equal so this is why never chose one.

Hahahaha, yeah, I was thinking the same how they are draw look really similar to them, I played once Oriental Empires and if you chose to play with Qin they are surrounded mostly by Rong Di and Shu those being also some barbarians that live in forests/jungle area. Sometime I have a hard time to figure out if Qin was also part Liu Bei, Shu, or it was only on the former Chu land.

Manga wise, in history she is exiled or home imprisoned she dies soon after, her children with Lao Ai are tossed in a bag and hit with wood bats till they die. Tough Lao Ai death is accurate in manga as far as I remember.

Sometimes, I don't know if Ying Zheng is really a cruel tyrant or it was just manga made him look like a better person or he was actually a good person but people around him aren't which then dirtied his name [stare at Kanki]

This is debated today, Ying Zheng is considered one of the worst tyrants that China had but this is far from true as his achievements overlaps on those bad things, he being trow in a gray area. I believe all those stories are exaggerations to make him look bad, all the informations we have are after 100 years from events and Sima Qian write Shi Ji based on rumors from people who either life those times or heard them from their parents, he claim he talk with the doctors who serve Ying Zheng, I wont spoil the event about him it don't happen even in manga yet but he will appear, he don't talk bad abut him just tell him about a strange event that ocured at the palace during his service with the envoys of Yan.
There are also some stone tablets erected during Ying Zheng life after unification that make him look as a good leader, those say how great he is and how much good and prosperity his rule bring.
Historians today or at least some of the claim he was a true good ruler, even if his work was made in blood, his projects made China what it is today, and the rest are just Han Dynasty propaganda to make their predecessor look bad.

As the name suggest they use chinese(original) name in the subtitle, in the japanese version the sub used the translated name(japanese reading of the characters if I'm not mistaken), take Lu Buwei for example, the voices are all saying Ryofui which is the one used in the subtitle for the Japanese version, his real name is Lu Buwei

Ngl, Japanese name version is kinda much more comfortable... Because of reading manga with name in Japanese version. Then, listening to the dub while reading sub in anime, it feels hard to track with the name when the name is spoken in Japanese but in sub is Chinese name XD

eh i would rather names be as they should be in chinese instead of being translated, while i can understand manga having it like that and im reading it just fine, for anime at least i think chinese names is very preferable
